From her first kitten Sebastian that she nursed back to health as a 6 year old, Christine has had a passion for taking care of animals for as long as she can remember. She has moved through many roles in the animal care industry, from kennel kid to SPCA volunteer to Animal Caretaker and finally to her current position as a Certified Veterinary Technician. The most rewarding part of this line of work for Christine is providing comfort and reassurance to animals in her care and treating them as if they were her own. She currently has a feisty chihuahua Sonny that she adopted during her time as an Animal Caretaker at San Francisco Animal Care and Control. She also has a mouse, Ginger, and a rat, Rainbow, who both live spoiled lives full of treats, toys and hammocks.
Outside of work, Christine is an avid outdoors-woman who loves hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, and camping. Living in Northern Arizona is her dream come true with the close proximity to both the San Francisco Peaks and the Grand Canyon National Park—both of which she loves to explore whenever she gets the chance. Having worked primarily in general practice prior to moving to Flagstaff, Christine is excited to advance her knowledge and training in the field of emergency medicine.
