Dr. Ayman Wassef
Dr. Ayman Wassef was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He received his veterinary degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University 1998. He came to the United States in 2001. He completed the Educational Commission of Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) Certification at Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, 2003.
Dr. Wassef completed his Medical/Surgical internship at a referral practice in Phoenix and has worked in the field of small animal emergency and critical care since. Dr. Wassef finished his residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the Fresno Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Fresno California in July 2017 and became eligible to become a specialist in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care. Dr. Wassef acquired the Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center of Northern Arizona in May 2017. His professional interest is in Critical Care, Internal medicine, Emergency surgeries and Cardio-respiratory emergencies. Dr. Wassef also enjoys teaching and has lectured at variety of Specialty Hospitals.
Dr. Wassef is affiliated with American Veterinary Medical Association, American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care, American Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Arizona Veterinary Medical Association and California Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Wassef has three German shepherd dogs, Maddie, Athena and Loki. In his free time, Dr. Wassef spends time with his German shepherds and travelling.

Dr. Toni Barnes
Dr. Barnes earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University. She started her career in emergency medicine in Phoenix, Arizona at the Emergency Animal Clinic. She moved to Flagstaff and owned Westside Veterinary Clinic for twelve years. Dr. Barnes has a passion for internal and emergency medicine in small animals. She is also certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and has years of experience in alternative and Chinese veterinary medicine. In her free time, Dr. Barnes enjoys doing agility and hiking with her three Jack Russell Terriers, Petey, Reggie, and Babs. She loves gardening and relaxing around the house, as well as traveling both in an out of the United States.

Krissy Flodin
Krissy works at VESCONA because she has a passion for veterinary medicine. Krissy does not have a favorite animal but she love Corgi’s. Her dream vacation would be to go to Sweden or Greece.
